Hp Lovecraft
What do we know … of the world and the universe about us?
Our means of receiving impressions are absurdly few, and our notions of surrounding objects infinitely narrow.
We see things only as we are constructed to see them, and can gain no idea of their absolute nature.
With five feeble senses we pretend to comprehend the boundlessly complex cosmos, yet other beings with wider, stronger, or different range of senses might not only see very differently the things we see, but might see and study whole worlds of matter, energy, and life which lie close at hand yet can never be detected with the senses we have.
Going Offline One Day At A Time
Every year, for about five full days I go offline. And hands down, these are my favourite five days of the year!
Yes of course its Christmas time. Starting on the 23rd my laptop goes in the drawer along with my phone and in the background you can hear distressed voices lamenting : Mum ! There is something wrong with the internet! Mum my Netflix just froze! Muuuuummmmmm!
Me: Sorry kids, there must be something wrong with the signal, probably a storm? Maybe overloaded from everyone being home for the holidays!
It takes a day of grumping ad moping, but out come the board games, the pencils and colouring books and the puzzles. My teenager will stay in his room, but pick up a book. And! Actual conversation happens, followed by utter chaos. With 3 boys stuck in the house due to nonstop rain, every board game has been played, all the Nerf guns have been loaded and a very lively game of Nerf Tag has been played and repeated. My sofa and all the beds have been misused as trampolines, dens have been built out of every duvet and pillow in the house. Lego is EVERYWHERE! Screaming, shouting, arguing, wrestling, playfighting, more shouting -
how do I reconnect the internet again ???
Merry Christmas Everyone !!
First Readers Reviews For Golden
A month since Golden has been published and a few reviews have been trickling in. Reviews on Amazon are like Gold Dust and I want to thank every reader who took the time to leave one. Thank you.
All of you who have read it but not yet left a review - go on !!
Here are a few of my favorites:
From Goodreads:I don't normally read reviews in the same way I don't normally bother with new Authors, but this book came highly recommended so I gave myself a push and bought it last night and I have not put it down till now.
If you like the Maze Runner and Hunger Games, but wished they had a few Vampires, Demons and a tad more heartache, this is the book for you!
It starts of fast, slows down for a few chapters painting the scene and then bam wham thank you mam all the way to the end. There is wrenching heartache, situations nobody should ever be in , Vampires, Demons and throw in a handfull of government agents and soldiers and we are good to go. When is book 2 coming out ?Goodreads:Really enjoyed this book. In fact, I couldn't put it down! Robson came up with some clever and enchanting ideas in Golden. Some I wasn't expecting at all. The main character was relatable and well developed. Fast paced and engaging. Great Book.

When you are Golden
When you are a Protector, in darkness you see the world through different eyes and the line between Beast and Savior is so thin, you find yourself wondering if it was ever there to begin with.
The beat of a heart makes your soul ache, instincts so raw fighting them seems futile and until you are marked, the world holds its breath as within you lies the power to destroy them all.
