Golden Logline
Very excited to be contacted today by Mathew from Wildsound who let me know they have published my logline! How awesome is that?

Logline:
Title: Golden
Written by: Kathryn Robson
Type: Novel
Genre: Supernatural Mystery
Logline: When you are Golden, in darkness you must stand strong and the line between Beast and Saviour is so thin, until you are marked the whole world holds its breath.
I know I know, overexcited much? But isn’t it all just brilliant fun?
Now some of you may rightfully ask: Logline? Whats that when its not a huntsman standing in a que for some logs for his campfire? What has it got to do with writing and publishing a novel and why have we never heard of it before?
All good questions, and like everything nowadays they are only a couple of clicks on the keyboard and a google away! And to think when I was 16 there was no google, and no, I am not 102 years old, only 35! Already I have seen such amazing advances in technology, its mindboggling, but enough of that, this post is about loglines, not science – its so easy to get sidetracked.
A logline is a one-sentence summary of your script. It’s the short blurb in TV guides that tells you what a movie is about and helps you decide if you’re interested in seeing it. It’s the grabber that excites your interest.
Again you ask, what has that got to do with books? Well, everything really! All good films start out as a book, even when they are not actually a published novel, but a screenplay, it is still a written work, witch an Author has poured countless hours of work into. Books are often used as basis in films, and directors and film companies are always always looking for new stories and ideas. Consumers are greedy, they gobble films and series up in astounding speeds, the industry struggles to keep up.
So they often turn to Authors and books. A author submits a Logline, and if it grabs somebodies interest, who knows where it could lead to. Hopefully more publicity for Golden! Don’t get me wrong, a good film or series based on my book is too far in the stars to even think of, my main passion is still my story of Amy and Daniel, and I dream on and on of where their story will take them next, probably not Holywood, but a published Logline is a good place to start and I am incredibly chuffed tonight
